Yes, the differences between Maldonado's incidents and Grosjean's are huge - as you say, I'm surprised the Stewards haven't given him a harsher punishment yet!

I don't think that this will affect Grosjean's career in the long-term; I'm really looking forward to seeing how he can develop as a racing driver. I just hope that this won't tarnish too many people's opinions of him overall - putting him in the same category as someone like Maldonado, after one serious incident, just doesn't make sense to me!Kit Marsdenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12313687638992094375noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8060392340254349031.post-87559450039648052282012-09-08T00:37:58.667+01:002012-09-08T00:37:58.667+01:00Excellent article! The main thing that bugs me about this whole thing is the severity - this is a punishment that hasn't been seen for 18 years and I just don't think that Romain's lack of spacial awareness is the worst thing a driver has done in all that time.

And as so many have said over and over, MALDONADO. How in the name of all that is holy does Grosjean deserve this penalty, but not Maldonado?

Once again the stewards seem to be more preoccupied with the actual consequences, rather than motive and (more importantly) risk.Elphamehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08185330902311456558noreply@blogger.com
